The incident with the Dovida carers failing to provide the beforenight bath and care, basic oral hygiene, falsifying records, leaving early but in writing 20 min later and displaying rudeness raises serious concerns about neglect for my 83-year-old Parkinson's client and the quality of Dovida carers services and their experience. Indian girls all from Kerala have 3-4 months experience only...instead of "at least 6 months experience and QQI level 5" . The rude comments from both Dovida carers—"hope I'll never see you again" from the Indian carer and "hope I will not see you next time" from the South African carer—further demonstrate their unprofessionalism and arrogance during handover.
Dovida really said ‘do vida later’ when it comes to replying I recently interviewed with Dovida and, quite frankly, the experience was extremely unprofessional. I was told I would receive a call with an update, this never happened. No communication, no follow-up, nothing. Making commitments to candidates and then completely failing to honour them demonstrates a clear lack of organisation and respect. For a company whose name suggests care and professionalism, the reality couldn’t feel further from it. Candidates are expected to show up prepared and respectful, the bare minimum in return is basic communication, which was completely absent here. After following up myself, I received what was clearly a generic, AI-generated rejection email, the same template typically sent to applicants at the earliest stage. Sending an impersonal, automated response to someone who has already invested time in an interview process is not only lazy, but dismissive. Candidates are expected to prepare, show up professionally, and respect the company’s time, the bare minimum in return is basic communication. That standard was not met here. If this is the level of professionalism shown to interviewees, it raises serious concerns about the company’s internal standards and what it must be like to actually work there. Overall, a poor and frustrating experience that reflects badly on Dovida’s hiring process. I would not recommend engaging with this organisation based on how candidates are treated.
You can change the name of your agency but your Carer's are still rubbish and most of them have no qualifications for the actual job. This should not be allowed and should be against the law. A complete overhaul is needed for this sector. Looking after vulnerable people in their own homes with an induction day and a week or two's training. It's a joke!!!!
