Why FindCare exists
When a family member starts needing care, the information you need is scattered across the HSE, HIQA, dozens of provider websites, and a lot of word-of-mouth. Most families only do this once — which makes it disproportionately stressful for how important the decision is.
FindCare brings the public record into one searchable directory: every HIQA-registered nursing home and every HSE-approved home care provider, along with contact details, services, and — where available — Fair Deal rates and family reviews.
We're independent — not owned by any care group — and free for families to use. Providers can claim their own listing to keep it up to date.

Where our data comes from
Everything on FindCare is sourced from public registers or provided directly by the provider. Nothing is scraped from private systems.
HIQA — nursing homes
Nursing home listings are seeded from the public HIQA register of designated centres for older people. Each listing links back to the HIQA record so families can verify registration and read the published inspection reports.
HSE — home care
Home care providers come from the HSE's register of approved home support providers — the same list the HSE uses when allocating funded home care hours. Covers every HSE region in Ireland.
Providers themselves
Providers can claim their listing and update descriptions, services, photos and Fair Deal rates. Claimed content is marked as provider-supplied so families know what's verified by the home and what's aggregated from public records.
Families
Logged-in users can leave a star rating and short review once per listing. Reviews are moderated before they appear to keep the signal high.

Free for families
Searching, filtering, reading reviews, and contacting providers is free — no booking fees, no paywalls, no forced sign-up.
Clear about sources
If a detail came from HIQA, it says so. If a review came from Google, it says so. If a provider supplied it, it says so.
