Our elderly mother is a strong, independent minded woman but in recent years her body has become very frail. We are a large family who visit frequently but it became obvious that in order for her to remain in her home as she wished, she and we would need some extra help to support her to do so. It was a huge decision to allow strangers into our mother's home so we were very apprehensive when we decided to engage a care company. Approximately 2 years ago, and following a recommendation, we chose Be Independent Home Care and have never regretted it. It is obvious to us that great care is taken by this company when they choose their employees. The carers are very professional and our mother is always treated with the utmost respect, dignity and gentleness. Outside of their normal duties in the home our mother's carers take the time to get to know her on a personal level. They chat to her about her life and tell her about theirs which she finds very enjoyable. Another positive aspect of this company is that a manager calls to our mother from time to time to check that she remains happy with her care or if she requires any changes. It is our experience that Be Independent Home Care takes an holistic "whole person" approach to care and we, as a family, greatly appreciate that. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Be Independent Home Care as a caring and trustworthy company. The Morris Family
Myself and my mother feel lucky to be associated with this company. The level of support they have provided us is second to none. Many times our carers have gone above and beyond in their care for Mam. All our carers are professional, warm, engaging, and patient with Mam. They treat the job as a vocation and put Mam first in all capacities even calling to see her out of hours and in their own free time. Mam looks forward to seeing her carers each day and has developed friendships with each of the girls. Be Independent Care are diligent in contacting myself if there are any issues, and to check on Mam's well-being. The carers display empathy and patience and provide us with all the help and support we require. We are both grateful and thankful to Be Independent Home Care and all their carers for helping Mam maintain her dignity and independence. And a special thank to each and every carer who has given so much to my mother.
Hi Alice, The two carers, Marie and Hazel, have been providing care for my mother Pearl Ó Shaughnessy for the past seven month or so. The care they provide is of the highest standard. They are great with my mother, respectful, kind, creative and professional, nothing is too much trouble for them. Our dealings with Kate, have been alway been extremely positive. She gives excellent advice and support. She helped us make the transition to full time care of my mother possible. She is always only a phonecall away to answer our every question and to facilitate us in every way possible. Well where do I start. I can honestly say that the staff from Be Independent are quite simply excellent. It is a daunting, emotional roller coaster when an elderly parent becomes ill and we were in no way prepared. After 8 weeks in hospital and we were met by an interim team of carers until Be Independent became the permanent arrangement. The staff are professional, friendly, willing to assist with all tasks.a They deal with a lady who can at times be cranky and irritable with a smile and courtesy. They are intelligent, witty, good conversationalist and very respectful at all times. They have been my rock and I look forward to their arrival daily and even remind me to care for myself and have brought me gifts. I cannot recommend them strongly enough, I am absolutely delighted and have no fear of leaving them alone with my relative as I know they will take good care and be at her back and call. Be Independent Home Care have been caring for my mum in her home for over a year, she has Dementia and lives alone. They are a professional, well organised company that are easy to communicate with. Above all, their carers are well trained, honest, caring and kind people. They are experienced and genuine carers and have a great relationship with my mum. Their patience, understanding and professional care for her means that I am always confident she is being well looked-after and she is getting the right care and attention she needs when they visit. I would highly recommend.
