This home was horrible how they looked after my grandad. He was left in his bed anytime we went up nearly every day he was left in bed not up dressed cleaned just lying there in most awkward positions. We had to come up every day to give him his dinner and made sure he was looked after. They never included him in activities nor the telle wasn’t turned on for some comfort. He was lying in the bed before my father came in and seen he was very unwell nothing was said my dad had to say it to them and got a ambulance then it turned out he had sepsis and nothing was said. If you don’t have to put your family member here please don’t. My grandad was an amazing man and miss him so much.
I would like to thank Tara Winthrop Nursing Home on behalf of Josephine Hays who just spent 3 weeks there recuperating after surgery in Beaumont Hospital. The staff were so kind and caring and did everything to help her regain her independence and confidence. Their sunny disposition lifted her form. The food was good and the home was warm and very clean. Management moved Josephine for her last week to a lovely quiet room after she explained the old person in the next room was very loud in the evenings. Perhaps recuperation patients could be placed in a separate wing. thank you for helping Josephine get back to full strength. shes very grateful.
I would like to publicly thank the staff of Tara Winthrop for their kindness to my wife after her week long ordeal in Beaumont hospital, which was chaotic, really. I know short staffing can be a stressful reality in all nursing homes as I work in one myself. this makes the sensitivity of carers and nurses and support teams eg cleaners, even more commendable/heroic
Our family's experience of Tara Winthrop has been nothing but positive. A warm, welcoming and caring place - our family member is thriving! The fact that there is onsite medical staff, experienced care givers, and lovely food, has transformed his health and well being and he is happy, relaxed and enjoying life, engaging in activities and giving us time, as a family to focus on the positive. We genuinely feel very lucky to have found Tara, and it feels like home.
I am writing this review with a heavy heart. My grandfather, was a resident at this facility, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. The staff may have been friendly and cooperative, there were significant lapses in care. My grandfather's hygiene was often neglected, which is unacceptable, especially for someone with dementia. It felt as though the staff were more focused on numbers than on providing quality care. Furthermore, the medical professionals on site did not seem to have the necessary qualifications or expertise. Their lack of attention to detail and apparent disinterest in my grandfather's well-being were deeply concerning. I strongly urge potential residents and their families to carefully consider their options before choosing this nursing home.
