Subject: Disappointing Experience with Talbot Lodge Nursing Home Dear [Recipient/To Whom It May Concern], I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the unprofessional conduct of Talbot Lodge Nursing Home regarding payment for services rendered by my husband’s professional renovation company. My husband was hired to complete painting jobs at your facility, which he carried out diligently and to a high standard. However, despite being told over a month ago that payment had been sent, no funds have been received. This delay is unacceptable, and the situation has been compounded by the lack of communication from your team. The manager who hired my husband has consistently ignored his attempts to resolve this matter, This lack of accountability is disgraceful, especially considering that my husband is a hardworking individual supporting a family who depends on his income. Talbot Lodge’s failure to honor its financial obligations and communicate effectively reflects poorly on its management and operations. I strongly urge you to address this issue promptly by ensuring payment is made and improving your communication with contractors. Based on the reviews I’ve read, I can tell you whatever this place used to be is most definitely not the case anymore, there has been an abundance of negligence since my grandmother started to stay here, from lack of staff capable staff on the weekend to not cleaning the bathroom for my grandmother who is incapable of doing such herself. Me and my sibling had been waiting 40+ minutes for a member of staff to come assist her one day, and most days it’s between 10 and 20 minutes for someone to come down the hall, I understand that shortages of staff can cause this, but if you do not have enough members of staff, either close down, or limit the number of people in which you can have stay here. I highly recommend not putting any members of family into this home but if you do, just know you’re probably making a mistake

To Whom It May Concern: When you come to the realisation that one of your parents need 24 hour care which you can't provide, a Nursing Home becomes your only choice, and it is not one that we ever considered in our close knit family. So when our dear mother Kathleen entered Talbot Lodge, we learnt wonderful lessons in care, kindness and professionalism. From the minute you enter the doors into Reception, there is a great sense of friendliness and welcome. The Staff go out of their way to continue that, coupled with all the care they give to everyone. In fact, each Resident is made to feel special, and indeed the same with family and friends visiting. Eveline & her wonderful Staff made a very difficult time in our lives so much easier and indeed when Mam passed away through Covid restrictions, they treated us with amazing care and sympathy. Hello all in Talbot Lodge, I recently visited my Aunt in your nursing home and I found the professionalism of the management and staff was second to none. All staff did a great job managing COVID-19 in the last year. My Aunt is very happy and has expressed her love of the friendly staff and management. It is fabulous to see such dedication to the care of others in these strange times. Regards Padraic.
