The worst audiology department I have ever come across. Thank god I will never have to depend on you again. The most backward, unprofessional, stagnant and old fashioned department I have ever come across. It’s 2025 not 1925! It’s just so embarrassing this is the level of medical service you get in Cork.
A lovely old hospital. So much history attached to the place from pre famine era.
The Chaplains of the Hospital are doing a heart touching service.
My friend was recovering from hip surgery. She said the hospital was brilliant for recovery they have physiotherapy on most of the words anyone living on their own come here for two weeks to recover. The staff are very friendly food is good it’s clean . It’s a very old church on the ground and you can go in anytime and say a prayer. It has a small garden on the outside, you can sit down and pray. The mortuary is beside the church It’s a huge area with the loads of history. It was a working house in the 1800 there was a bigger church and that was converted into Rooms for recovery.
Staff was very kind but it’s April 2023 and they’re still using COVID as an excuse not to let partners in to accompany the patient, not even allowed to stay on the waiting room. No one is wearing masks and waiting room was nearly empty but still they’re “just following the protocol”. Imagine going to the hospital for an antenatal exam and you can’t be there with your partner or any procedure like this… I would expect way more empathy from a hospital.
