My mother has lived here for roughly two years ,she has Alzheimer's,her care is very good, the food is almost restaurant quality, taking note that some folk need soft food etc.mum is always clean, the place is always clean, I only have a slight issue with a language issue with a couple of nurses. The care my mum gets us very good. I'm happy she is here.
Bad place for residents and workers poor management, poor money!
My uncle spent 3 happy years at ashborough, he always had good things to say about the staff and I agreed with him, in my opinion he was looked after very well and always seemed content when I would visit, which could be at any time of the day and any day of the week, I always felt welcome, I always found the staff very friendly and approachable. Thanks again to all of ye for given him so much care and support.
During the time my mom spent in Sonas Ashborough, i never had a minutes worry about her care. The staff were so kind and helpful to her and the kindness and advice they gave to us was invaluable. When Covid struck and i could not visit her, the only thing that kept me going was knowing she was getting the best of care. The love and gentleness they treated Mom with in her last few days gave us great comfort. We will always be indebted to the wonderfull people that work there. Geraldine Cooper.
ashborough lodge is a nice home for elderly people who can still do things for themselves but for a person with dementia I would not recomend anyone to put their loved ones in here , I could be here with a huge list why but in brief they cannot and do not have the staff or amenties or understanding of the word dementia ,my relative hardly came out of her room the whole year they were there so many falls complaints are not dealt with in a professional manner and at the end of the day elderly people with dementia cant express who speak for themselves i did take my complaints to HIQA my loved one passed away but I hope it will help it from happening again to someone elses loved one ,
