I was called to a Castlebar hospital injection clinic here in St John's Unit instead of going to the main hospital itself which always fills me with dread due to seriously terrible overcrowding plus hours and hours of very uncomfortable, claustrophobic, stuffy, windowless, unpleasant waiting with pushing and shoving due to lack of space. Despite the St John's unit being a little difficult to find for those who are not au fait with the town, I'm really happy to give today's experience 5 stars. A great premises, bright, airy and spacious, well fitted out with no discontented crowds (unfortunately par for the course in the hospital) and easy parking (if a little rough), everything ran very smoothly and efficiently, the staff seemed happy, relaxed and efficient, and the constant flow of patients was efficiently and seamlessly processed through. If only every clinic in Castlebar hospital ran like this it would be brilliant. Well done Castlebar hospital. I hope that any clinic I have to go to in future will be as easy and almost pleasant as this one today. 👍🏻🤞🏻 Thank you.
