My dad Patrick Keane passed away on the 14th of February 2026.The staff were very kind to both my dad and family. My dad was always very happy and well cared for and would always have a smile on his face when we would visit him and would smile when the staff would come into his room .A lovely nursing home and my dad was so happy there.We felt real at home when we went into it a home away from home.Thanks for everything from paddy’s Girls Yvonne Celene family
My dad was a resident in Rathbourne for a year before he passed away in May. During his time there he was happy, content and very well looked after. This was a huge comfort to all of our family. We found both the management and all staff very approachable, helpful, friendly and most importantly patient and kind to all the residents. I still call in sometimes to say hello to both the residents and staff and always get a warm welcome. Thank you from all of the Breslin family for looking after our dad so well. Bernard Breslin.
Lovely caring smiling staff from the nurses, chefs, cleaning staff, carers. Always a lovely welcome at reception. Big landscape open spaces and gardens. Fantastic activities with Clare and Aaron, with singers, painting, bingo etc. Good size rooms and great catering.
A concerning number of non-compliant judgements in the latest HIQA unannounced inspection report for Rathborne NH. Wouldn't recommend if your family member has high dependency/medical needs. Nursing care fell short for our Dad who had 3 infections there and died 8 weeks after moving in.
