Very good nursing home. Clean, organised and very friendly staff. Posted by Margareth Nkomo
I am so very grateful for the JCP Powdermill they are very accommodating to the residents and beautiful people in and out they are very helpful and very polite.
I am extremely grateful to the Powdermill Nursing Home for the amazing care they are giving to my elderly father. The Powdermill nurses spotted an extremely serious medical condition several hospitals missed, saving my father from an awful end. All of the staff are brilliant, they genuinely care and go the extra mile to accommodate my father's needs. My father decides when he wakes up and goes to bed, and the staff even make tea for him if he wakes up at night. There are plenty of activities, including festivals, family fun days and music, and the staff even put the sports matches on TV for him. The food is great, my father never goes hungry and the staff provides food for him in-between meals if he wants. The Powdermill really is a home away from home. Thank you so much Powdermill Nursing Home, I think this is one of the best nursing homes in Ireland. Catherine Mellerick daughter and next of kin.
I would give this 0 if there was an option to. This is a very bad run nursing home the care a family member received was desperate and ended up in hospital and nearly died. The food is an absolute disgrace for supper they serve hash browns and 2 puddings reheated in a microwave. Soggy pizza with a handfull full of chips cold or reheated. The careers are nice but not enough staff and some of the nurses need to be retrained as my family member should of been admitted to hospital long before we rang south doc who admitted straight away. Left in extreme pain and in a terrible condition by the nurse. This nursing home should be closed down and not left to look after vulnerable people. No nutrition whatsoever dinner consists of frozen veg 1 potato and a small bit of meat badly cooked. tiny portions. no proper chef some staff are painters one day fixing holes in wall another and carers the next day the place is a disgrace. The plug of the television was broken one day and they were actually going to glue it back together and plug it in fire risk at the highest until I siad it to them . And the director of this nursing home should not be aloud to be in charge of any person after what I witnessed and the neglect my family member suffered in that place. A Disgrace Of A Place
