Wonderful staff across the whole service provided my mum with the best care and attention possible. She had a wonderful and fun last year filled with love and warmth from those that became her friends. We her family were welcomed with open arms and became part of the community of care. I cannot thank Orwell and the personal care staff enough.
My mother was in for convalescence. The care she received from all the staff was exceptional! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience from her admittance to discharge. Thanks again
I was staying at Orwell Healthcar for a week. I was really impressed with the care and attention I received. The staff were amazing and friendly and helpful. The physiotherapist team was amazing. The food was excellent 👌 😋.
Outstanding convalescence care I was fortunate enough to be looked after in Orwell Private Convalescence for two weeks post operation for knee surgery. I cannot express how grateful I am to the staff for their care and kindness to me during a very difficult recovery. The unit itself is warm, welcoming and quiet, after all the hustle and bustle in the hospital it was a blessed relief. Staff could not do enough for you, they went over and above what I expected. I was left without pain medication prescription from the hospital, and they organised a GP visit for me. They also removed the clips post-surgery saving me from having to make a painful trip back to the hospital. Ice packs were provided all through the day and Magda the in-house physio was just brilliant. They encouraged me to the dining room for meals and it was lovely to chat with other patients over dinner. Food was very good and served piping hot, varied choice and if I have any fault, it was probable there was too much, but you can order smaller sized meals which I did. Orwell is one of the very few nursing homes I have been in that has the real feeling of a home. It is beautifully furnished with spacious bedrooms, dining/sitting room per unit, other rooms you can use for your visitors and the beautiful garden which all the units have easy access to. The staff are warm and friendly. If there is a problem management are keen to address it. The activities for the residents are well organised and enjoyable. The bustling cafe and hair salon are wonderful facilities. Above all my Mother is very happy there. I would really prefer I could look after her all the time but at age 96 she needs the care that can only be provided by a nursing home.
