I have recently spent a very pleasant week in Northwood Nursing Home, the staff were lovely and the gardens were gorgeous.
###Avoid### I would never put any of my loved ones in this place. My mother passed away in this nursing home, where she received extremely poor care. There was a severe lack of staff and no physiotherapy available, and they refused to let her leave unless we gave them four weeks' notice. Despite her being covered for 10 weeks under the HSE, they still demanded thousands of euros to release her. But she died the day before we could get her out. Only reason I put one star is because it doesn’t allow you to post with zero!
I have been here for over 2 months and the staff are very nice,kind, caring and helpful. The walk up and down to see people is ok every hour day and night. It is very clean and warm. Every room has a TV and toilet and shower and bed and a bell if you want anything. We get our clothes washed and dry, hair cut and activities room, dinning room and TV room.
Staff are very friendly and polite, place is clean and safe. Mother likes the staff and as these places go compared to other ones, she’s happier which is saying something! Would recommend.
