Very poor management. My dad was supposed to be transferred there from hospital. Moate Nursing home postponed that twice on the day and then a nurse rang to tell me my dad's bed was gone, " ok bye " she said to me . I asked for the director to ring me and explain but that nurse needed a care assistant to write my name and address. The director of nursing previously 'informed' me that the family have to pay a contribution and she asked me for assurances that they would be paid! My dad was awaiting his Fair Deal application to be finalised and the hospital had secured 10 weeks of funding to cover the costs until it was. They decided the bed was no longer available even before any paper work was even signed or any meetings had been held. Very very bad way of dealing with a poor man with dimemtia and his distraught family
