My Sister was in this home for 3yrs and passed away in this home. Our experience with the Staff except for a few was a nightmare and her experience was even worse. Comunication with the Staff was non existent, very poor English and there attitudes even worse. During my Sisters time there she did create a strong bond with 2 Carers there who were very good to her and treated her with the respect that she deserved, more than i can say for the Nursing Staff and C.E.O. As an ex Nurse my advice to any family who is thinking of placing a loved one there stay awaay from this home, My one wish and regret is that we did not place my Sister in a much nicer home, and also she was paying a lot of money, much much more than the rest of the residents.😔
I think the staff are really lovely. And. Briget Manager is so friendly and professional and would go out her way to make sure that every one in her nursing home are happy and well looked after Best Nursing Home In Ireland x
My 2nd stay and review was even better than the 1st review the staff are amazing especially Mr motivator(Shane missing his mankini)who is always a joy. Bridget the DON(director of nursing) is fantastic and tries to help you %100, the physio and OT(occupational therapist) to as was Michael the maintenance man, the kitchen chefs catered for everything you could ask for, the nurses and carers again wonderful 5 stars again thank you . As someone with all Thier faculties in tact I was amazed at how well this is run everyone is friendly always help straight away there's no shouting more laughter if anything with all patients I really can't praise this place enough thanks for looking after me for 2 weeks
If anyone is thinking of placing a loved one here think again we went to visit an uncle who was thankfully there for short term respite. Mill Lane Manor looks beautiful from the outside but as soon as you step inside you see people sitting in a circle staring into space the place has a horrible stench throughout its grimy and dismal. Everyone looked so sad and it had a huge affect on me . This place seriously needs a refurbishment or the very least a deep clean .
My Gran Aunt is here for the last 5 years and I can not thank the staff here enough for the love and care they have given her. Every visit is a pleasure to see her so well cared for and happy.. I really don’t under stand the review below, we found the opposite with Bridget and can only say my Aunts stay has only improved since Bridget took over. What a lovely lady with so much compassion for her residents 😊
