I had a five week stay here after an accident it was such a nice friendly place every single person their were lovely from the people mopping the floor to the kitchen staff the food was top class thanks to the chef’s their the carers were also amazing with over 100 people working their the physio the reception everyone absolutely everyone i met were such happy people and to all work together to many to mention but i have to say 100% for five weeks solid definitely try this place i recommend it and everyone in it and lovely gardens and entertainment live music and bingo the rooms were fully equipped with everything you need just go visit it yourself and go from their thanks so much to everyone for taking great care of me ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️from the bottom of my heart you all looked after me and the other patients so well . shirley Reynolds
My mother is a resident there nearly 2yrs, and is happy and well treated by all staff.
Just spent eight weeks in Gormanston wood after a bad leg break.The staff are so amazing and everyone so kind .I went in to the facility in a wheelchair and came out on one crutch.The nurses and carers are great and the food is reasonable.Overall I was made feel very welcome.
My father spent 3 weeks in respite back in Feb 35. He returned as a full-time resident in April. I was very lucky that I lived just a mile away and I visited him every day and spent 3 to 4 hours with him. My siblings also visited daily. He was cared for by amazing hcas and nurses. Unfortunately he passed away after 6 weeks The respect and dignity for him was incredible. We were very humbled and grateful for the way he was treated by everyone who cared for him. On behalf of my family I can't thank the staff of Cedar Unit enough. God bless you all
I can highly recommend Gormanston Wood. The staff across all four internal units are terrific. Residents have supervised access to the gardens on grounds and the beach is nearby. Therapy is available on site.
