Very welcoming, staff are always friendly, accommodating and helpful. I was surprised at how homely it was when you walked through the door. It's situated in a housing estate which is actually nice and really unexpected as you don't feel like it is when you are actually inside the building, it feels like your in the countryside with the way it is laid out. The garden's are well maintained and kept up to date. The house has 83 clients which you wouldn't think either but it's ran so well. The staff are absolutely amazing, caring, loving, supportive, helpful and very professional with every bit of respect for each client and their family and friends. I'd highly recommend it. The food is really good too and the amount of activities that are arranged daily is unbelievable not to mention the day trips they have out of the home. It's all adapted for the best of the client. I can't praise them enough TBH.
My brother went to Glenaulin post operation and the management, clinical nurse manager and all staff were so kind to him. They were so attentive, professional and done everything to make him feel included. They encouraged him to socialise and feel included as a resident. He had his own bedroom, was offered physio and any assistance he needed to help him with rehabilitation
I spent time in Glenaulin visiting my mam and found all the staff attentive, professional and friendly. During my time there I gained a huge amount of respect for the work that they put in during the everyday ups and downs that goes hand in hand with such a job. The residents were great fun and I was lucky enough to get to know some of them, this is a positive reflection on Glenaulin Nursing Home and it's staff The negative reviews here are unjust and not helpful in anyway. During my time in Glenaulin I was not the centre of staff's attention, the residents were... exactly how it should be. I was asked to stand aside or wait for a door to be opened or a phone to be answered.. I do not take priority and I think others should understand this also, before they judge any staff. My mam had her birthday there and the staff were so kind by making a delicious cake and making her feel special. My mind is at ease now knowing that my mam is in good hands. Thank you everyone at Glenaulin, you are truly appreciated 🙂
My experience of Glenaulin Nursing home was that the front line staff are dedicated & hard working but that the head nurse/management is clueless to the real world, very cold & unprofessional. I would think more then twice before putting a relative in there.
Very nice care facility for my family member. But very disappointed with the receptionist, noeleen was her name, when she answered the phone she had an aggressive tone. Unfortunately the manner was unacceptable, continued to speak over when I was talking, just bluntly rude with her answering my questions. when trying to organise a visiting time to see my family member. Not understanding we all have a loved one we want to visit and don’t want to call to get an horrible attitude and awful Manner of a person on the other end of the phone. Unacceptable and disappointing and will be reporting further. Other than that Glenaulin is a lovely place.
