Mount UnPleasant - Thankfully we were able to transfer by father out of there after 4 days. Basically dumped in a room by himself - Food presented on a Tray to a man not able to feed himself - No assistance given. Not taken out of the room in the days he was there - left unattended with no one checking in with him at all. Not washed, Not Shaved - My mother had to request that they changed and dressed him. AVOID AVOID AVOID - And if you have anyone in there get them out as soon as you can.

Couldn't recommend this nursing home strongly enough. My 82 yr old stayed here following a hip replacement. For an independent man going to a convalescence home he was anxious and understandably wary of it. However, we arrived and were greeted warmly. The transfer of info from 1 staff member to the next re: his meds & care was excellent. Everyone was friendly & welcoming. The home itself was spotlessly clean & warm. Well done to you all @ Mountpleasant, it's lovely to see the care of our elderly in such good hands. Claire the manager was lovely to deal with from the first moment & put dads fear at ease. Its great that all the staff are on first name basis with the residents and the frequent visitors.

Modern rest home. Very friendly and helpful staff. Individual rooms for clients. TV in tooms. Well maintained rest home. Lovely gardens. Kitchen areas where visitors can make tea and coffee.
