An elderly relative has moved into this establishment a number of week's ago and this is the worse mistake our family has made in my opinion. Firstly why aren't staff instructed to speak English when in common areas or around resident's because it's confusing enough especially when so many living here have dementia and Alzheimer's so life is confusing enough and the staff's indifference and lack of interaction are plain to see and that's when visitor's are present, staff permeability on their phone's or conversing with each other in their language. The room's aren't cleaned to the standard you'd expect for €1600 a week and we know nothing about the standard of food as there's no visiting at this time and our relative can't remember anything. Our elderly relatives deserve a much better standard of care and a small committee of relatives for current residents would be an extremely good idea to ensure acceptable standards.

If you care for your loved one please do not send them here. My grandmother moved into one of the rooms 7 months ago. She needed assistance as her mobility had deteriorated over the last couple of years but bar that she was a strong woman. She has since passed away. While I was there myself we pressed the buzzer for assistance on three separate occasions and on them three occasions we were waiting 10+ minutes for someone to come and help. The food they are given is atrocious and they will not let you bring in your own food. When I wanted to take my grandmother out you had to book in advance (some times other times they didn’t care if you booked) Two other occasions I felt she needed to see a doctor and when I asked when can she see one “whenever we can get one” was the response I received. Most of the staff are rude bar one or two of the careers but between the reception staff and majority of the careers they don’t instil any faith that they are treating the residents any better. My grandmothers mental health plummeted while here and also her health and I firmly believe their lack of attention or care caused my grandmother to get so ill. After she passed away they boxed her stuff up and threw it on a trolly didn’t even give the family a chance to do it. This place will sell your loved ones a dream and they should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. Like I said as the start of this post please please do not send your loved ones here

Can't say enough good things about this nursing home as my mother was here for a year and passed away in their care. She was treated so good and cared for with such respect. Thanks for all u all did for my mother and how kind u all were to our family. Highly recommended for care for the elderly.

I am not sure I can put into words how amazing all the staff and the home are. Our dear mam who is 87 having 2 hip replacements in 2 weeks ended up needing 24 hour professional nursing care. We had no choice but to find a nursing home for her. It was so difficult and extremely upsetting. We looked at several homes and on entering Beneavin house felt a peaceful happy atmosphere. The team are very professional and most importantly caring and go above and beyond for our mam. This is a huge comfort to us all knowing she is cared for and cared about. Nothing is to much trouble for all the staff right from receptionist, managers, nurses, carers, kitchen and cleaners. They all show great empathy and we are so very grateful for this. Thank you and Happy new year to you all
