The only advice I can give to anyone who has to put a loved one into a nursing home, DON'T choose this one. I have complained to HIQA which they have noted and Brookhavens response were excuses about why the manager was eating his food while we were discussing a terrible fall my father was after having the night before but nothing about the neglect he endured. My father went in only for respite, he walked in talking and came out in an ambulance 2 weeks later not able to walk or talk clearly. He had at least 4 or 5 falls that we are aware of even after their physio noted he should not be left unsupervised. Managers response to that, we cannot watch him 24/7. On admission to hospital he was totally dehydrated and ops very low. He is in a new nursing home and doing better, he has numerous needs that cannot be met at home. So please do your homework on nursing homes. No stars if I could.

I dealt with Anoop Asokan and I must say that this man is difficult, he tried to force me through social media to his opinion. I would advise you to avoid Anoop and save your self a lot of trouble.

Droimnin nursing home was the worst possible choice for my mother to spend her last 9 months before she died. We were promised that all the staff were qualified to take care of her specific type of dementia. Not one of them had the skills , including the director and assistant director of nursing. They were extremely unprofessional and several complaints were made to HIQA with regard to neglect of her personal care and diet. The resulting investigation by the nursing home was carried out by the person about whom the complaints were made. At that point we felt we couldn't do any more. If I could give no star ,I would.
