I write this review as an honest true and very personal recap of my experience at Clarinbridge care center where my late mother was a resident for just over one year. Although the reviews currently available are a significant number of years old and a change in management has occurred since then I would first like to say the previous reviews I understand were very accurate under amazing management in those years and acknowledge this on my onset. My personal experiences and there were many leaves a very negative memory of my mother's time there. I experienced many things from a certain cohort of staff there during the period June 2023 to June 2024. I would address the true lack of professionalism from the leadership level, the rude and unmannered behaviours of many, the strong distaste for family support, seen as unwelcome and disruptive, and no doubt cynicism and ridicule for any form of questioning on issues from medication errors, physiotherapy scheduling, doctors visits, pharmacy delays and in my experience errors. One thought that continues to haunt me is the fact that for 3 months all my mother's medical care was under the direct supervision of the doctors and pharmacy that Clarinbridge centre use and for which a significant medication errors ran for a number of weeks unnoticed and for which had profound effect on my late mothers health. I will acknowledge that apologies were made but such distrust in an established system left me with no choice but to return my mother's care to her own GP and our own pharmacy. My most haunting memory was to receive a call to say my mother was in cardiac arrest and it was serious and when I arrived my mother had passed away and I entered her bedroom unknown to this fact. It leaves the most horrific imprint on my memory. This review I hope reminds people whose loved ones are residents or about to become residents to keep watch, stay involved, don't have any expectations because you will be disappointed where you should have the most reassurance, be mindful of information provided, check correct email addresses and if you own any property remove it before a deal can be done behind your back. On a positive the HCA's are amazing, the kitchen staff work hard and attend individual requests without issue and housekeeping, are a great group who not alone housekeep but provide a thread of normality. Please reflect on my experience as an honest human experience from someone who spent every day there with my mother.

Everything about this home is great. Staff are so caring and friendly. The home is bright, fresh and a pleasure to go to, always a big welcome. I was going to move my Mum to Sligo where I live, but I was so impressed by everything I decided to leave my Mum there, I really can't praise the home enough. I travel every week to see Mum, so it would have being much easier to have Mum in Sligo, I don't think I'd have got anywhere as good. The care my Mum gets is just fantastic. I can't praise the staff or home enough.
