We have found Carysfort to be such a tremendous place for Dad to stay, the staff are very engaged with the patients, caring, gentle, and interested in their well being, safety and contentment. All meals are homemade on the premises with generous healthy portions. There are sing-songs together, or music and other activities, birthday parties or garden parties when weather permits. Its always lovely and warm and cosy, not green walls, grey floor, clinical environment.... rather there are plush carpets, sofas, cushions, books and ornaments. My family are supremely grateful for the care they have provided for Dad. We know he's safe, occupied, not lonely and that we can visit at any time.
Breda and her team provide excellent care for all of the residents.
My mother was in this wonderful facility for 6 years before she died in 2004 and when my Mother-in -law, who is just 100 years old, required care we were only too delighted to have her admitted. Breda, the proprietor, and her brilliant Nurses and Carers create a wonderful atmosphere and setting to allow their charges to live out their lives in comfort and dignity.
Carysford Nursing Home is best described as home away from home, on entering through the front door the staff make you feel very welcome no matter what time you visit. I have never visited that I have not been offered tea, what a lovely touch as you can enjoy a cuppa with your loved one just like at home. The standard of cleanliness is exceptional, down to the residents shoes polished on a daily basis! There are alway lots of staff available and there ongoing interaction with residents is evident in observing how contented and happy both resident and staff are. The standard of nursing care is excellent and relatives are kept updated on their relatives condition this ensures that you leave you relative knowing that they are in safe loving environment . So thank you all in Carysford keep up the good work.
