If you have to go somewhere for rehab or even if your are looking to move into a nursing home, Cahercalla is fabulous. Now it may not be the most modern place but the warm welcome and genuine kindness and caring of the staff is outstanding. Lovely little cafe for visitors or even for residents having a cuppa with facilities members living in. A comfy day room with sofas and a dinning room. Both small, but as I popped in to make phone calls, I realised that they were comfy and relaxing. It really feels like home from home and I couldn't imagine saying that. However, it's the staff that make it. They make you feel safe, comfy, protected. They pop in to say hello as they start their shift and goodnight when they leave. They had a St Patricks get together yesterday with music, soft drinks, cakes and sandwiches. Really nice. We could visit at any time - although loved one had a room to themselves. I highly recommend this place to recuperate. If I need rehab ever, this is where I will ask to come. Can't thank them enough.

Well I was very apprehensive when entering this nursing home for three weeks rehabilitation, but. It did not take me long to find out just how wrong I was ,it’s the most wonderful place all staff are very helpful and put you at your ease at the blink of an eye , the phisio girls are delightful and enjoyed every session with them, Dr Marian used to play music for us during her spare time , doing great on her “squeeze box “ and hope she can keep going with other patients the way she did for us Mary Micheal Bridget and a few more , I wish you all the best life you can live ,and girls keep smiling many thanks to you all love Jean Hennessy
