I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the staff of Ballinderry Nursing Home in Kilconnell for the truly exceptional care they provided to my beloved mum. From the moment she arrived, she was treated with such kindness, dignity, and respect – not just as a patient, but as the cherished person she was. Every member of staff, from the nurses and carers to the kitchen and cleaning teams, showed incredible compassion, professionalism, and genuine warmth. They got to know Mum personally, cared for her needs with patience and gentleness, and always made time to provide comfort – both to her and to us, her family. In her final days, the respect and dignity with which Mum was treated was deeply moving. She passed peacefully, surrounded by care and kindness, and we will never forget that. The support we received as a family was equally thoughtful and made a difficult time more bearable. Ballinderry is more than just a nursing home – it is a place where love, care, and humanity shine through.
I was in the home for respite care after being in hospital for a pulmonary Embolism. The Staff The staff are absolutely wonderful, friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. There are always nurses on and always ready to help and sort out any issues you may have. All the nursing staff are first rate. The Residents This is one of the first things you notice about Ballinderry, the residents are happy and very well cared for. There is not that hopeless air you get upon entering done nursing homes. The residents are laughing and have great overall interaction with the staff. Overall I cannot fault Ballinderry and wld have liked longer there in respite. A very very good nursing home.
