My father was in adare and District. I cannot express how fantastic the staff and management are. My father was like a family member in a large family. The patients the staff have for the residents is unbelievable. The management Sibi and Sima are to be applauded for the love and care all their staff give to the residents. The food is top quality and plenty of choice. Annette in the day room is like a whirlwind, she can as we have seen, dealing with several residents at once keeping them all happy and entertained, we loved our visits and will miss calling in. From Collette at reception, the cleaning staff, the nurses, kitchen staff each and every one spoke to the residents like a family member. We cannot recommend adare and District highly enough. Thank you adare for your love and care

A&D cared for both my parents for many years. I found the staff to be professional, caring and attentive at all times.

January 2022...Update A year and a half later,,,how things change.. Since my review a year ago,,I have to change my rating in this home. Twice I had to report my uncles toenails and feet to management,a disgrace for a diabetic patient. Another day I visited him and had a soiled pad on him at 14.25pm. In November 2021, just gone he was admitted to hospital with Aspirated Pneumonia and sadly passed away a few days later,I had visited him the previous day he was admitted to UHL and was in good form. I rang his family doctor who had visited him the day before being taken to hospital and he said it definitely was a sudden aspirations within hours of him seeing him. I got in touch with Hiqa, the ombudsman and the nursing home itself, but nothing and no satisfaction,,,. These places are so overpriced, understaffed and not supplying adequate care to theses vulnerable people
